The College of Engineering employs over 30 students each year to help support the computing activities of the college. Students work closely with full-time professionals to keep a network of over 2,000 desktop computers and servers operating efficiently so our faculty, staff and students can be successful in teaching, research, outreach, and administration.
A broad range of positions are available including such diverse areas as system administration, programming, and lab supervisor (see IT Team Roles for a complete list). And, while technical skills are important, we value teachable, dedicated individuals with a passion to serve others.
We don't treat our student employees as hourly workers, but as part-time professionals in training. In this college, you will be challenged to grow and develop as a professional. Our full-time staff will mentor you and train you -- not just in technical skills, but in soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, and communication.
By the time you graduate, you will be prepared to hit the ground running as one of the top professionals in your field. Some of our best students will even be given the opportunity to join our team as full-time professionals in the College of Engineering to train the next generation of students. If this sounds like the kind of place you want to work, then read on ....
